Photo Opportunity: A collection of my favourite travel photos

I decided to do a slightly different blogpost this week. I keep finding photos from past travels which is bringing back so many memories, so I decided to share a few of them with you! I’ll warn you now, lakes and the sea are heavily featured in this blogpost. Of course, I will make sure locations are included, and look out for the links within this blogpost if you want some travel inspiration!

Lake Bled: Slovenia

I was so proud of myself for taking these photos, because it was photos like this that inspired me to visit Lake Bled in the first place. It was the perfect place for a short break away!

Scarborough: England

Geneva: Switzerland

Lake Constance: Germany

Sitting on the border of Germany, Switzerland and Austria, Lake Constance was an unexpected find on our journey from Zug in Switzerland to Legoland in Germany. The road in front of us ended and we found ourselves at a ferry port, with the only way for us to continue our journey to either jump on the ferry to the German border of the Lake or take a very long detour!

Milan: Italy

Lucerne: Switzerland

The cable car up Mount Pilatus, Lucerne gives an amazing view of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding area. I love how this photo shows mountains, a lake, woodland and the town below.

Disneyland Paris: France

The dramatic skyline is the reason I included this photo from Walt Disney Studios. I love the atmosphere that’s created by this skyline at Disneyland Paris.

Cape Town: South Africa

Trieste: Italy

The grounds of Miramare Castle in Trieste, Northeastern Italy provided the perfect opportunity to take some photos! The gardens leading straight to the sea made the place feel magical. I love how the castle sits right on the coastline, almost like it is connected to the sea (also fitting as I believe “Miramare” means “Seaview”).

Syvota: Greece

I have never met someone that cannot appreciate a sunset. They are so beautiful and this one overlooking the Ionian Sea did not disappoint. I love how the islands look like silhouettes.

Bruges: Belgium

Taking a boat tour around the canals of Bruges is definitely one of the best ways to get a proper look at the city, as well as the prettiest.

I hope you enjoyed this snapshot into my past travels. Have any of these photos inspired you to take a trip? Let me know, either in the comments or via my social media!
