About me

So, I feel these ‘about me’ pages are always awkward to write … kind of like the bio’s you write on social media … I feel I never really know what to say. But I guess here goes!

I’m Harriet, I’m 22, and travelling and seeing the world is my favourite pastime. Although I don’t get to do it as often as I’d like, I love to explore and have new experiences. This blog is my way of keeping a record of where I go, as well as helping me truly take in the places I visit. With the world we live in, it can be all too easy to get caught up in worlds that are not actually ‘real’. For instance, the world of social media, whilst it has so many benefits, can also consume us. People can get so caught up in getting ‘that insta-perfect picture’ that we can forget to actually take in the places we go and the things we see – I myself am guilty of this. 

This blog is my way of focusing in on the places I go and what I experience, and if anyone who reads this also finds the blog helpful or it inspires them to visit a few places, then that’s ok with me!
